Resigned to the Facts

When two of your four fellow school board members have gotten sucked into an MLM Scam, the district cites you for lack of oversite and overrunning your budget, you can't provide oversight because the board hasn't met for months, and there's no good plan for getting back on budget, it's time to resign. Still, it was hard, because I felt I was abandoning the kids who students at the school. On the other hand, there are other schools for the students to transfer to that aren't ignoring their fiscal and ethical responsibilities. I suppose now that I've given my verbal resignation I should actually get off my butt and write my actual resignation letter.
